Walter Zenga, for a number of years at the end of the 1980s and early 1990s was widely regarded as the best goalkeeper in the world, in the middle part of a successful period of more than a decade that he spent at Inter Milan.

During this time, Zenga would win a Scudetto in 1988-89 and 2 UEFA Cups in 1991 and 1994, making 328 appearances in the process for the Italian greats.

Zenga was IFFHS World’s Best Goalkeeper for three years running: 1989, 1990 and 1991 as well as being awarded UEFA Goalkeeper of the year in 1990.
